Live to 2100
January 2011
Hello all, glad to see you’re still with us.
As the march to 2100 continues on (only 89 years to go!) I am blown away by how much I’ve changed in only a year. I’m settled in Gorgeous Galveston Texas for the time being, teaching art and making the most of my time here.
2010 taught me a lot of things, including that I needed to CHILL out and balance the natural health aspect of this blog more fluidly into long-range having fun. It’s a delicate balance, but expect to see more of a potpourri of posts that look into the future while living in the now. Sustainable consumerism, money smarts, green-feng shui and good eating are all on the 2011 menu. Enjoy!
June 2010
We all get old. Hopefully, anyway. I myself have a perfect track record so far: 23 years and I’m still getting older every day. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even think about it!
So here I am, just out of college, grappling with new-found adulthood and no concrete plans about my future except that I’d like there to be a lot of it. I know that the choices that I make now, in this fabulous young and malleable body I have now, will determine everything about my body-and lifestyle-20, 30, and 78 years from now.
“Aim for the moon and even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”
In that spirit, I’m aiming to see the next century roll in at a ripe old 113. Who knows? With the technology of the future and careful stewardship of this earthly vessel, it just might happen!
So all of you born post-1985, feel free to take up the challenge to live to 2100 yourself (I’m competitive, but but I promise not to be a poor sport after if I lose!), and for the rest of you: I need good role models. Let me know if you’ve passed the 90 years mark!
Good health and good luck to all!
